My testimony

How I became gay and how I stopped being one in Christ

Finding my true identity was incredibly liberating.

1

How it began

I was born in 2002 and grew up in Irpin, Ukraine. Even as a small child, while I was still in kindergarten, I felt an attraction to boys.

At thirteen I took on a gay identity. It shaped my worldview, and with it, how I saw God and the church.

2

The turning point

In 2022 the war broke out. In 2023 I came to see that my way of life was flawed, and I wanted to learn more about the Bible, about God and about the church.

That November, I repented.

3

Walking with Him

In 2024 I joined an evangelical church. Through a series of realisations, I abandoned the gay identity, and I no longer see it as beneficial in any way.

4

Where I am now

Today I am actively working on being attracted to women, and I imagine a future with a wife and a family.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
